Climate Change Research Funding Is Getting A Boost

Over $10m of new research designed to help the agriculture and forestry sectors adapt and respond to climate change has been given the green light. Agriculture and Forestry Minister, David Carter, says the cash will go towards projects including technology for reducing methane emissions from cows and gauging the impact of climate change on trade and potential drought conditions. Carter adds research into new technologies which improve the efficiency of production while reducing greenhouse gas emissions is vital to the future of the primary sector.
